Young Professionals Affinity Group Improv Workshop

Laughter is an essential need in life that has felt harder to find during this pandemic. In this interactive workshop, we will explore how some of the basics of improvisational comedy can help us find the light in these dark times. Comedy experience is not necessary, just come with a desire to play and have fun!

Alissa has been doing improv for over two years and has completed the training curriculums at Washington Improv Theater, DC Improv, and Magnet Theater. This past year she has done too much virtual improv to keep herself sane during a global pandemic at the World’s Greatest Improv School, Magnet Theater, Rise Comedy, and Squirrel Theater. Alissa is part of the indie improv teams Cat Owners Association and Pizza in the Dark. When Alissa isn’t doing improv, you can find her serving as the Development Associate at the NEA Foundation. She’s a proud AFP DC member and is looking forward to starting graduate school part-time at Georgetown University’s School of Continuing Studies in the fall.

This is a free event open to members and non-members. 

The Young Professionals Affinity Group is geared toward fundraisers aged 31 years old and younger. If you are 31 or under, you are automatically a member of the YPAG group, and we hope you will take full advantage! We aim to create engaging networking opportunities with educational events throughout the year for a rounded experience.
