After a four-year hiatus… the 2023 (In-person) Sunset Social returns! 

Join us for a fun event where you can reconnect with fellow AFP-DC members and kick off summer at the new Alamo Cinema Drafthouse in Crystal City. 

There will also be an optional Education Session from 4:00-5:00 pm at Conservation International before the networking reception at 5:30 pm at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.

From Crisis to Connection: Understanding the Changing Face of Donor Engagement and Fundraising Post-Pandemic

This session will explore the shifting landscape of donor acquisition, engagement, and fundraising as the increased generosity that many nonprofits enjoyed during the pandemic stabilizes]. We’ll delve into the characteristics that set donors who acquired or engaged under these unique circumstances apart from other donors. Drawing upon our data analysis of trends observed in our universe of clients and prospects, we will discuss the unique insights gained from a data-driven approach. We will also discuss emerging trends as we transition out of the crisis and analyze the evolving dynamics of fundraising, highlighting both positive and negative changes. Moreover, we will explore the future of fundraising and how organizations can adapt to thrive in the ever-evolving philanthropic landscape.
