The Power of Fundraising Ethics (In-Person)

A big gift can truly transform a nonprofit, but is your organization equipped to ensure ethical standards are kept, followed, and maintained in accepting this gift? Frontline fundraisers face real challenges navigating donor expectations, positioning values, and making tough decisions to decline gifts when those values do not align. Ethics ultimately make the work of nonprofits possible. Join us in a discussion about not only handling potential and very real ethical issues with leadership, donors, and staff, but also how to build an organizational culture that demonstrates commitment to the highest ethical standards.

In this session you will:

  • Learn about contemporary ethical issues in fundraising
  • Develop ability to critically analyze your organization’s gift acceptance activities and policies in light of contemporaneous ethical issues
  • Understand the real-world application and challenges of ethical practices
