exceptional philanthropists, businesses, volunteers,
foundations and fundraisers who demonstrate a commitment
to philanthropy in any or all of the five award categories
by participating in the Honor Your Own celebration.
Your special honoree(s) will receive recognition from
the podium before hundreds of community leaders during

honor. Last year, nonprofits recognized 52 very deserving
honorees. To Honor Your Own, complete the HYO
Form and submit it by October
2, 2006. Online
registration for HYO is available. Each participating
organization must reserve a minimum of 2 seats at the
luncheon.
NCPD SPONSORSHIPS
- Applications due October 2
Over the past two decades, National Philanthropy
Day has become a celebrated occasion in cities across
the country, drawing hundreds and even thousands, to
celebrate the commitment of those who make a difference
in their communities. While many individual organizations
honor their own in the greater Washington DC area, this
event offers community wide visibility and an opportunity
to publicly recognize business, foundation, volunteer
and community leaders who are committed to philanthropy.
Sponsorships range from $1500 to $10,000 and a list
of specific recognition is listed on page three of the
Sponsorship Proposal. To Sponsor, complete the Sponsorship
Commitment Form and submit it by
October 2, 2006. Online
registration for Sponsors is available.
