TOPIC: Prospect Information –
How to get it, when to work on it, and what to do with
it “I can Google, but then what? And by the way,
when am I supposed to do this?”
Join your fellow AFP/DC members as we explore how to
approach building and managing information on our prospects
and donors. During the program, we will strive to answer
such questions as:
• Do I need to know everything about a prospect
before I meet him/her? Once they're a donor, does the
research stop?
• If I don't have a research staff, how do I best
use my limited time to develop information for my prospects?
How am I supposed to do research when I'm supposed
to be out there making calls?

TOPIC: "The Meaning of Life"
SPEAKER: Dr. Robbie Blinkoff, anthropologist,
ethnographer and founder of Context-Based Research Group.
Dr. Blinkoff founded Context Research in 1999 to help
marketers and advertisers use the tools of cultural
anthropologists in understanding the basic drives that
motivate their customers. The success of this approach
involves “going very deep with customers, understanding
where meaning lies in their lives, and using that knowledge
to make something happen.” This session promises
to be a challenging exploration of the basic motivations
of our philanthropic nature and culture.
