DETAILS FOR THE DAY OF THE EVENT

The Program Committee for the sixth annual National Capital Philanthropy Day looks forward to welcoming you to this year's awards luncheon on Thursday, November 1, at The Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC. We are delighted you will be joining us for this celebration of philanthropy.

We want to do everything possible to assure that you and your guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience at National Capital Philanthropy Day. The following information will help you and your guests enjoy the event:

    * Metro: We strongly encourage event attendees to take advantage of the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel's proximity to the Woodley Park / Adams Morgan / National Zoo stop on the Metro's Red Line. It is a short walk from the Metro stop to either the hotel's rear secondary entrance or the main hotel entrance on Woodley Road.

    * Parking: Valet and self-parking are available at the Woodley Road entrance to the Marriott. A discounted rate of $17 for self-parking and $26 for valet parking is available event attendees. You can pre-pay for parking with cash or credit card at a pre-payment booth located near the event registration desk. By pre-paying, you will reduce the wait time at the close of the event.

    * Coat check: A coat check will be available adjacent to the registration area. The cost will be two dollars per item.

    * Registration: Event registration and check-in will take place in the rear of the Marriott Ballroom / Salons II and III. Registration opens at 11:00 a.m. If you have pre-registered, you will be able to pick up your name badge and hotel assignment. A "Solutions" desk will be available to assist guests who did not pre-register, need to correct a name badge, are replacing a registered attendee, or otherwise need assistance. A floor plan of the ballroom, indicating table placement, will be available in the registration area. Event volunteers and hotel staff will be directing guests to the ballroom and offering assistance.

    * Luncheon Service: The luncheon program will begin promptly at noon. Guests who have requested a special meal (vegetarian, vegan, or Kosher) in advance will simply need to indicate their selection to a server. We regret that requests for special meals made on site cannot be accommodated. The program is scheduled to conclude at 1:30 p.m.

    * Table Hosts: If you are hosting a table, we encourage you to share this event information with all of your guests.

We look forward to welcoming you to National Capital Philanthropy Day. Thank you again for joining us as we celebrate our community's outstanding philanthropists!
